Gratituesday: Thank you, MAPP
MAPPsters,
In the space between our semesters, after we turned the final pages of our theory papers and analytical articles, I found the time to savor the biggest accomplishment of the semester. So now, in the epilogue of 2021 I’m dwelling on what went well this academic year. Unequivocally, the answer is you.
In the writer’s room, the breakout rooms, the positive introductions, the peer reviews, during welcoming coffee, the conference calls, the discussion posts, the long conversations, the garden party, and during a few golden in-person events, you flavored the experience with personality and illuminated the science with your insight. When you shared your stories from your respective corners of the world you became a role model to emulate and draw on for inspiration.
The new knowledge is great, completing half a masters degree (already!) is a welcomed surprise but if I learned anything from Prilleltensky, Peterson, Pawelski and professors alike, it's that other people matter most for a life well-lived — other people, like you.
I’m grateful for the experience you created and am joyfully anticipating the next semester. Each of you have so much to give!
Your Aristotelian friend,
CB
